Late at night in the Shankar Tekri area of Jamnagar, local residents discovered a body lying in a pool of blood in the Subhashpara-1 lane behind the Parsi Cemetery. The discovery triggered panic across the neighborhood, prompting immediate alerts to the local authorities.
A team from the City C-Division Police Station arrived at the scene, secured the area, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Preliminary forensic inspection identified deep slash wounds inflicted by a sharp knife across the victim’s neck. The deceased was identified as Chandrasingh Rathod.
The Financial Feud and Escalation into Violence
Investigations revealed that the accused, Hussain Ismail Sandhi, had previously borrowed money from Chandrasingh Rathod. On the night of the incident, Chandrasingh reportedly met Hussain and demanded repayment.
The conversation escalated into a heated altercation. In a fit of rage, Hussain allegedly pulled out a sharp-edged knife and attacked Chandrasingh, repeatedly slashing his throat. Chandrasingh succumbed to severe blood loss at the scene, while the assailant fled into hiding.
